I recently purchased a Yiynova MVP20U+FE tablet monitor. I've worked mostly "traditionally" to this point but have recently been feeling an increased desire to branch out and start doing more digitally. I considered purchasing a Cintiq but, given the price, felt that a less expensive alternative would be a better starting point. If this digitally thing doesn't take it's probably easier to be out a few hundred bucks than $1000+. The Yiynova products were getting some very good reviews so I thought I'd give it shot.
A (hopefully) frequently updated blog featuring my art work. Not to be confused with the art blogs of any other Brad Thingvold.

DC Workshop page 2
This is the second page of the submission I prepared for this year's DC Talent Workshop. Like mentioned in my previous post, I used one of the scripts that DC provided on their website.

ECCC, DC Talent Workshop, and other stuff
In December I was able to pick up some work drawing double page spreads for an upcoming graphic novel. It was a lot of fun and was paid work as well so that was nice. Unfortunately, I'm not able to post the images online for some time. I'm hoping that the online restriction is lifted soon because I would like to share them (and drum up some interest in the project, of course).

Doctor Fate pencils
I finished this a few weeks ago. I know I probably seem like an overly-critical broken record at times but this one just doesn't make me happy. It's pretty common for me to have mixed feelings about a piece, whether it's a pin-up type like this or an actual interior page, immediately after finishing. Most of the time, if I set it aside for awhile I'll have a new appreciation for it when I look at it again. This one still isn't giving me the feels. That probably won't change but here it is anyway. While I work on some things that I can't post yet I feel I should at least keep posting as much as I can.
